Short route via Kyrgyzstan

Irkeshtam — Andijan: road freight from Kashgar to the Fergana Valley

The China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan road corridor: from Kashgar via the Irkeshtam crossing through Osh and Jalal-Abad straight into the Fergana Valley. No transit through Kazakhstan — the shortest land route.

Irkeshtam — the shortest route without Kazakhstan

The Irkeshtam crossing links Kashgar with Osh and is the key link of the China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan (CKU) land corridor. On this route cargo does not transit Kazakhstan: from Kashgar it crosses at Irkeshtam into the Osh and Jalal-Abad regions of Kyrgyzstan and then enters the Fergana Valley through Andijan. The valley (Andijan, Namangan, Fergana) is the most densely populated and industrial region of Uzbekistan, which makes this route the preferred choice for urgent shipments. The total distance is around 980–1100 km.

Irkeshtam route questions

Why is there no transit through Kazakhstan on this route?

Does the route operate in winter?

Yes, but Irkeshtam is located in a mountainous area, so weather can affect the schedule in winter. In such cases we suggest shipping via the alternative Khorgos route and warn you about the transit time in advance.

What are the transit times?

Around 7–10 days to Andijan, 8–11 days to Namangan and Fergana, and 9–13 days to Tashkent. Actual times depend on border queues and customs.

What cargo suits this route?

Time-sensitive cargo in volumes of one or several truckloads: equipment, construction materials, textiles, appliances and auto parts.
